To provide an open access channel of international repute and rating, for expressing and disseminating intra- and inter-disciplinary research findings and similar scholarly outputs from the varied fields of Linguistics and Literary Studies, and other related disciplines within and beyond the domains of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Pure Sciences. EJLLS envisions the entire world as its catchment area.

EJLLS was born sequel to the first linguistic-based International Interdisciplinary Conference, organised by the Department of Linguistics and Literary Studies of the Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Nigeria, and held at the university from 1st - 4th August, 2016. The proceedings of that conference were peer-reviewed and published in the first issue of EJLLS, which was officially birthed in January 2018.
